tired eye’s, dizzyness, crumbled up feet, not eating, fighting, not flying, VERY FAST HEART BEAT, laying on the floor, and no activity. i havent had the time to feed them for a couple of days so probably thats why but i got food today and she is still not eating but the other one is the oppisite of all of the symtoms, maybe where they fought or from not eating or she is ill but just please help me.

Potty training question?

My 4 month old pomeranian does NOT like to go in front of me! She also does not like to eat in front of me. This has made it impossible to potty train her, because she only eats alot of food if she’s in her crate, and since she will hold her potty until I leave, she usually pottys in her crate.

This morning was typical. I played with her for a few minutes, put her on her potty pads for about 10 minutes… fed her (she didn’t eat much)…and then had to leave the room to feed the birds, so I put her and her food dish in her crate. She POOPED in those 3 minutes IN her crate!!

What should I do? What am I doing wrong? I am SO fusterated!

Bird Question?????

What Bird Will Perch On Your Finger And Or Shoulder And You Can Hand Feed It???? ( This In NOT A RIDDLE)

Why does the media keep blaming wild birds and backyard flocks for spreading H5N1 avian flu?

This article, “Fowl Play: The Poultry Industry’s Major Role in the Bird Flu Crisis” at http://www.grain.org/briefings/?id=194 came out in Feb 2006 and gives well-documented evidence that the flu did NOT follow migration routes — it followed the transportation routes of the Chinese poultry industry. The epidemic did NOT start with wild waterfowl — they got it from commercial poultry wastes being used as fish feed on fish farms. Etc, etc., etc. Read the article for yourself — then answer this question: WHY, if this is an INDUSTRY problem, do we keep hearing that wild birds and backyard flocks are to blame?????
Well, actually, it wasn’t just any old “single article” — it was a 19-page well-footnoted scientific report by Grain, which is a biodiversity watchgroup (http://www.grain.org). And it has been cited in Asian and European publications: See for example http://www.phayul.com/news/article.aspx?article=Qinghai+Bird+flu+caused+by+fish+farms%3F&id=12635 Tibet) and http://www.ens-newswire.com/ens/feb2006/2006-02-27-01.asp (Spain). But US TV networks are STILL focusing on the wild and backyard birds of small villages. WHY? I’m not a conspiracy theorist but, given the current US administration’s bad record on science lately (no global warming? Then why is it 100 degrees in Northern Minnesota now?), I find myself wondering if the poultry lobby is suppressing this info…

baby bird found?

While vacationing in Central Wisconsin I found a baby bird floating in the lake, about 100 yards from shore. It is NOT a water bird. I picked it up and brought it inside, wrapped it in towels and dried it off. I didn’t think it’d make it, but it’s doing okay. It has all of its feathers but still cannot fly. I’m feeding it a combination of wet dog food, sow bugs, moths, crickets, maggots. The thing eats anything. My question is what kind of bird is it? I’m a seasoned bird watcher but this one has confounded me. It’s about 4 inches, no tail feathers, charcoal grey back, grey belly. Beak is like a starling (not yellow though, just the shape). It constantly squawks. Non-stop, only at night when he puts his head under his wing to sleep does it stop squawking. Any ornithologists out there who can help me figure out what the heck this thing is?

What to do? help!?

What do you feed a baby pigeon when you DO NOT have kaytee exact powder and the bird CANNOT return to its parents?

I only wanted to know this incase something like this were to happend to me, I live in Las Vegas, NV.
Thanks again popdop! the only reason I asked this because some of the pigeons my friend in L.A. owns will sometimes reject their young and I wanted to know what I should do, if my friend happens to give me one of the babies if the foster parents don’t except it.

I have a cardinal (bird) that keeps taping on my window, please make it STOP!!!?

Every year there’s a cardinal that comes and taps on my window, every spring, it usually ends by summer, it’s NOT the same bird, one year it was a female and this year it’s a male, although I hear cardinals don’t migrate and mate for life so it could be the same “couple” I just want to know what to do to get them to STOP! I’ve tried feeding them (because I read an article that said they will do that when they are hungry) didn’t TOUCH the bird seed and kept tapping on the window, anyone know WHY or what I can do to get them to stop, besides being annoying they are dirtying up my windows, but mostly driving me NUTS!!!
