Need Help About Lovebirds, please.?

I have two lovebirds, and the female already laid an egg yesterday, I already placed some bedding this morning that I got from our back and front yard, they consisted of grass, dried leaves, some leaves from a shrub, and some ferns. All moist to perfection because it rained here yesterday. I cut them into bedding-sized pieces and placed them inside the nesting box, making sure NOT to touch the egg out of fear that the birds might not sit on them anymore. But I did surround the egg with the bedding, so the eggs is probably cushioned. I also added boiled-egg in their diet, and some egg-shells, because I have heard that eggshells provide calcium. And plenty of green veggies. I change their water every now and then. And I secured the door of the box so the risk of the egg falling out when the birds peep out will be lessened. I still put them out to enjoys some fresh cool air. What more should I do? HOW LONG TILL ALL THE EGGS ARE LAID. Is it possible that ONLY ONE egg can be laid? This is my lovebird’s first time to lay eggs, can they be successful on the first time round? Do I have to wait for their second time to have babies? And when is the breeding season for lovebirds, I guess it’s the autumn or the cool season. Because when it started to get cool around here my birds laid an egg. I’m so excited of having an egg and I’m keeping to point to NOT peek at the box all the time. I peeked this morning to put some bedding and that’s that. How long do I have to wait till I can peek inside again to put some more bedding? Please answer me seriously. I need straight answers. Thank you very much.

Potty training question?

My 4 month old pomeranian does NOT like to go in front of me! She also does not like to eat in front of me. This has made it impossible to potty train her, because she only eats alot of food if she’s in her crate, and since she will hold her potty until I leave, she usually pottys in her crate.

This morning was typical. I played with her for a few minutes, put her on her potty pads for about 10 minutes… fed her (she didn’t eat much)…and then had to leave the room to feed the birds, so I put her and her food dish in her crate. She POOPED in those 3 minutes IN her crate!!

What should I do? What am I doing wrong? I am SO fusterated!

baby bird found?

While vacationing in Central Wisconsin I found a baby bird floating in the lake, about 100 yards from shore. It is NOT a water bird. I picked it up and brought it inside, wrapped it in towels and dried it off. I didn’t think it’d make it, but it’s doing okay. It has all of its feathers but still cannot fly. I’m feeding it a combination of wet dog food, sow bugs, moths, crickets, maggots. The thing eats anything. My question is what kind of bird is it? I’m a seasoned bird watcher but this one has confounded me. It’s about 4 inches, no tail feathers, charcoal grey back, grey belly. Beak is like a starling (not yellow though, just the shape). It constantly squawks. Non-stop, only at night when he puts his head under his wing to sleep does it stop squawking. Any ornithologists out there who can help me figure out what the heck this thing is?

I have a cardinal (bird) that keeps taping on my window, please make it STOP!!!?

Every year there’s a cardinal that comes and taps on my window, every spring, it usually ends by summer, it’s NOT the same bird, one year it was a female and this year it’s a male, although I hear cardinals don’t migrate and mate for life so it could be the same “couple” I just want to know what to do to get them to STOP! I’ve tried feeding them (because I read an article that said they will do that when they are hungry) didn’t TOUCH the bird seed and kept tapping on the window, anyone know WHY or what I can do to get them to stop, besides being annoying they are dirtying up my windows, but mostly driving me NUTS!!!
