My bird`s eggs hatched today, and I opened the nesting box to see what I saw was real.And what I saw was that the mother was fluffing her feathers around the baby bird.Will it die? or she`s just trying to keep it warm?

I have a parakeet that has laid two eggs She is laying on them and everything is going good,?
I also have 3 other parakeets. One is the dad and the other two, which one is a female and the other a male. The momma bird has a nesting box that the eggs are in that is attached to the outside of the cage. When the babies hatch is there anything special I need to do for them and also should I take out the other two birds? I have not found a website that answers any of these questions.
My parakeet (Sweetie) has a lump on her back by her tail. Is she trying to pass an egg?
Is she trying to pass an egg or is there something else wrong, or nothing at all. She is with two other parakeets one being a male and the other a female. I took the other female out and put her in another cage that I have because the nesting box is in the main cage. I saw her going in and out of it this morning, mostly coming out when the other female would peak in which is why I separated her. I read that putting her in a humid place would be nice, which would mean I need to switch her with the other female. Although, I don’t know what a bird looks like that is trying to pass an egg if it is that. Any suggestions would be sooo helpful. Thank you very much.

I bought a nesting box 2 days ago and one of my female birds went into it.How long will it take for her to give eggs? its been 3 yrs since I had her.

In curiousity, can a parakeet die from eating too much?
The reason why i’m asking is because, my sister had 4 parakeets, but one died this morning. The parakeet that died, she had since fall of 2005 and he seemed to have a bigger appetite than the other birds. Lately he seemed a little sluglish, like he was too full. We would take the food out and only feed them 3 times a day. Is it possible that he died from eating too much?

my female parakeet have started going into the nest box .but she is not coming out of the box . only for a minute she comes and then goes back . when she was eating the bird food i looked in box there wasn’t any egg. she is also not leting the male to come into the box .help

I THINK SHES PREGERS AND NOW FOR ABOUT TWO WEKS SHES BEEN GOING IN AND OUT OF THE NESTBOX. TODAY I CHECKED 4 EGGS AND NOTHING. I SAW THE MALE ON HER ONCE. SO HERES THE PROBLEM, NOW SHES ETHER BREATHING HARDER AND HER TAIL IS MOVING UP AND DOWN. NOT LIKE FAR, UP AND DOWN, BUT LIKE SLIGHTLY. THE TWO MALES ARE SLEEPING NICELY AND SHES LIKE STILL AWAKE AND DOING WAT I JUST SAID. IS SHE GONNA LAY EGGS? PLEASE HELP. OK, I DONT NO IF SHES BREATHING HARD OR ITS CONTRACTIONS HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, DO BIRDS HAVE CONTRACTIONS?

every thing is the same still, um like on her lower back were the tail fethers r going to start theres a hump. her tail is moving down now. so ya. she just went in the nest box again 6:15 pm miami,fl time and she was out for about 15-20 minutes. i saw the male mate with her again today. about 1 or 2 hours ago.

this is my third or fourth tome asking this qoustion. i add on to the ones i asked a couple days ago.
she still didnt lay. she comes out once in a while to eat/drink and she goes on the floor 4 for about 2-6 minutes. i checked this morning 4 egss. none
the male goes to the whole and i guess feeds her or somthing. the blue is the male and shes yellow. i think thats a great color combination. the male is like a violet color. and the female is yellow with a splash of green on her back. will one baby be the natural color of parakeets if the mom is like that? well is there a problem. please dont let it be egg bound. i cant afford a vet bill and really love her. ill will check tonight 4 eggs.
