Fledgling Western Bluebirds vs. Crows?

I have western bluebirds that have left their nest box. The parent birds are still very protective of the nest box whenever I get close to it even though it’s empty. I’m assuming that the fledglings must still be close by. There are quite a few large black crows hanging around my yard. Do they eat baby birds?

Morning Dove on my sidewalk?

Last night my husband found a baby morning dove on our front patio. We put it back in the nest but the parent birds flew off and didn’t return until this morning. I put the baby in a box on a heating pad for the night and returned it to the nest this morning. To my surprise there was another baby on top of some bushes by my front door and one of the parents was there pretending to have a broken wing.

Later I checked on the nest and the baby I returned to the nest was on the patio again. An hour later both babies are under one of the parent birds in the middle of my sidewalk.

This isn’t a safe place. I live near an open space with snakes and many feral cats. Is there a way to get them all some place safer?
Thanks for the answers. I can’t move them to my back yard because I have two dogs. I have put up a sign asking people not to use the sidewalk up to my front door. The babies are under a bush with one of the parents. I will hope for the best.

First time parent of a cockateal Need Advice?

what are the do’s and donts of these beautiful birds? about what to feed them and when to give treats.

8 Weeks old, parent raised bro & sis cockatiel re-moved from parents, is it too soon to seperate the siblings?

acquired parents and 8wk old babies. Parents were still feeding, but babies were also eating on their own. All the birds were freaked out by the move and new owner, parents panic & cause babies to panic everytime I got near the cage. Fearing one would be injured by the frantic flapping about, I removed the babies to their own cage. They are eating but are very frightened. They frantically flap about when in same room with parents and hear their call. Should I seperate the siblings yet so I can work one on one with them or allow them the security of one another a little longer? I am concerned they will become dependant on one another for socializing instead of learning to be peopled. The parents are sitting on other eggs and are frightened I will take their eggs and freak out whenever i come near the cage and run back into the nestbox. Any suggestions on how to re-assure them I have no intentions of hurting any of them besides moving slowing, talking softly, as I already do?

will my cockatiel be able to be a surrogate mother?

I found a robins egg, and for the heck of it I decided since I have several cockatiels and parakeets, maybe one of them could sit on the egg until it hatches. I figure its better than letting it die. Well, anyway, it hatched and all of the birds in my cage(very big cage), want to play parent. They are feeding the baby, but now what? Will it get the nutrition it needs? Do I keep a wild bird? How will it know how to fly if I set it free when the time comes? Any help here would be great.

Hungry Chirping Birds

Short clip of a parent bird feeding hungry, chirping baby birds. Sorry for the shaky shot. No tripod. No time.
