Baby Birds rescued?

Just a note to (and in particular Answerer no 9, to the pregnant lady who’s bird had bugs) you think someone who tries to help a baby bird abandoned is wrong ?!? how dare you judge!……the parents can ONLY feed it moron!! not protect it from the likes of cats or cruel kids. All its doing is delaying the inevitable, your sick, your the cruel one. Well done to anyone who has taken it upon themselves to take the time to help rather than heartlessly walk away. This site is about HELPING people not using it to have a go you fuck wit.and as for Answerer no 1 ! who thinks to …Ewww Bin it?!? your heartless and twisted, get fucked the pair of you!. no-one wants help like yours, your pathetic.

BABY BIRD FELL OUT OF TREE! HELP?!?

There is a baby Blue bird that fell out of it’s nest. My cats were trying to eat it so my dad picked it up and put it in a box. We left it there for a while in hopes the parents would do something. We were looking for the nest so that we could put it back up in there. But we couldn’t find it, so it looks like we’re going to have a new pet to try and save. I need all the information I can get about saving a baby bird. Please help. (:

I found a baby bird and it’s been doing fine for half a day but I still feel like I need help?

By the way it’s doing fine in my house and I’ve been feeding it bread dipped in milk. I don’t know what kind of bird it is but now it barely has feathers so I don’t think it was fledging. I would have let the parents have more time to look for the baby (since the was no birds flying around in the area) but there was a storm coming up and I took it in when I felt rain drops. Also, heard giving it water was bad for a baby bird it that true and if it is good thing i didnt give it water

Help me take care of this baby bird, please!! :)?

My husband cut down a very dead pine tree today in our back yard. As he was chainsawing it into pieces, he discovered inside the tree 4 baby woodpeckers, 2 dead, 1 injured, and 1 that seems okay. We didn’t know what to do with them, considering that all the websites I researched said to place the birds back in their nest or somewhere near around there and the parents will come back to take care of it…… But, we live in South Alabama, where snakes are starting to come out in the hundreds, our neighbors have outside cats and dogs, and a storm is fast approaching as I type this….

So, we took a box, filled it with pine straw, grass, and whatever else we could find to make a “make-shift” nest, and nailed the box to the tree. I placed both the injured one and the seemingly okay babies in the box, hoping their parents would come to take care of them. This was early this morning. It is now 6 oclock at night. The injured bird is now dead, and the other is still alive. The “nest” we created is now filled with ants from the dead baby bird.

I have brought the other baby inside my home, and have called serveral vets who act like they could give a rats ass about this poor bird, i guess because today is saturday.

My question is how can I help keep this poor woodpecker baby alive until I can take it to a vet on monday. I know it is illegal to have any wild animal in a persons possesion, but I can’t just leave it out there in the storm, where the snakes, ants, or other animals can get it.

Someone please help me with some advice on how to help this poor thing survive until Monday. Thanks a million!

My Cockatiel fertile egg laying process? HELP :)?

My male and female Cockatiels recently conceived an egg 3 days ago and the other yesterday. I am just uncertain of why they are not in the nesting box all the time to incubate their eggs. Whenever i open the cage both of them come out of the nesting box or cage and play with me. But sometimes one goes in to sit on the eggs. will the baby birds die in the egg if their parents are not constantly incubating them?
