I only want pellet answers! I know about diet – fresh food – etc. What I want to know is what type of pellet food do you feed your bird and why? Have you tried other pellet food and what was your birds preference? Mine picks out certain colors, but I was told by the manufacturer that there is no flavor attached to the color and the bird just had a color preference. Do you get your food locally or do you have it shipped? What about expiration dates? Please try to answer all questions. Thank you

My pet bird, i think its a small parrot, layed an egg on the corner of my room, i dont cage my bird so they can move freely. When it feeds it comes to my table to eat a prepared food, but since its always sitting on its egg, how will it eat?
I am prepared to sell our familys lillac crested amazon parrot, but I have no clue what the value of the bird might be. He is ‘middle aged’ for a parrot, somewhere in the mid- to late 40′s (average lifespan for an amazon is 90 years.) He is in apparant good health, and has been well cared for during his lifetime. We have had the bird for 11 years. He of course would be sold with his cage, toys, feeding trays and bottle, and a supply of food included. Any ideas what an appropriate selling price would be?

is it ok to feed an african grey bird seed ment for wild birds. (the kind u put in a feeder in ur back yard) she loves sunflower seeds but its blened with other things, so i dont know if that is ok. help 
her diet is normally wonderful, i just ran out of bird seed and dont have a way to get to the store tonight, just curiious if wild bird seed is ok or if it is only meant for out door wild birds

right outside of our backyard, every summer and spring the same little house finch returns to raise their young. i am taking my friends parrot because she dont take care of it. hes a small bird i dont know what kind of parrot he is. i know there are some things you cant feed them such as avacados. what are other foods you shouldnt give them and what foods do you recommend giving them besides their regular seed.

Just curious- how long did it take for your birds to “grow up”?
I noticed that it took my oldest goffins about a year to fully wean and get out of the “infant” stage (eventhough he was fully feathered), and then he went thru the “terrible twos” of screaming and chewing on EVERYTHING (which lasted until he was about 3 or 4), and then early puberty (starting at about 4 or 5- in which he began to have favorite “toys” and figured out what “feels good”), and now (age 6 and 1/2) he seems to be actively trying to court and bond (has started to feed me and my boyfriend, is protective of the younger goffins- who is in HER terrible twos, and in general has decided to be a watch-bird).
I’m curious what developmental stages other bird owners have noticed with their feathered friends
