Trying to save a baby bird?!!?

My cat just left on the patio three baby birds. ONly two were alive. THey have little to no feathers and the humane society is closed so we can’t
give them to the humane society! I put the birds in a shoe box with paper towels but I don’t think they will survive. I want to return them to their nest but I have no idea where it is! however i know of where an abandoned nest is and I was wondering if I were to put the baby birds in the abandoned nest, would their parents be able to locate them? please help! (p.s can baby birds eat chicken feed?)

Does this sum up Illegal Immigration beautifully? what do you think?

I bought a bird feeder. I hung It on my back porch and filled It with seed. What a beauty of A bird feeder it was, as I filled it lovingly with seed. Within a Week we had hundreds of birds Taking advantage of the Continuous flow of free and Easily accessible food. But then the birds started Building nests in the boards Of the patio, above the table,And next to the barbecue. Then came the poop. It was Everywhere: on the patio tile,The chairs, the table ..Everywhere! Then some of the birds Turned mean. They would Dive bomb me and try to Peck me even though I had Fed them out of my own Pocket. And others birds were Boisterous and loud. They Sat on the feeder and Squawked and screamed at All hours of the day and night And demanded that I fill it When it got low on food. After a while, I couldn’t even Sit on my own back porch Anymore. So I took down the Bird feeder and in three days The birds were gone. I cleaned Up their mess and took down The many nests they had built All over the patio.Soon, the back yard was like It used to be …. Quiet, serene….And no one demanding their Rights to a free meal. Now let’s see.

Our government gives out Free food, subsidized housing,Free medical care and free Education, and allows anyone Born here to be an automatic Citizen. Then the illegal’s came by the Tens of thousands. Suddenly Our taxes went up to pay for Free services; small apartments Are housing 5 families; you Have to wait 6 hours to be seen By an emergency room doctor;Your child’s second grade class is Behind other schools because Over half the class doesn’t speak English.Corn Flakes now come in a Bilingual box; I have to’press one ‘ to hear my bank. Talk to me in English, and People waving flags other. Than ‘Old Glory’ are Squawking and screaming In the streets, demanding More rights and free liberties.Just my opinion, … but, maybe it’s time for the government. To take down the bird feeder. If you agree, pass it on. In November,if they have an (I) after their name(for INCUMBANT), vote them out and send DC a message. If you don’t agree,Just continue cleaning up the poop.
@ KYLA I don’t take advantage of our government. Actually I am a Marine and an Iraq War vet. I bet you can’t even find Iraq on a map. I served my country and I am proud of it. I don’t need people that shouldn’t be here disrespecting everything the country that I have served for. I have seen many people that have been wounded or killed just for you. I take advantage of everything I need to because I have earned it and so has every legal citizen I have fought for, regardless of race. Semper Fi

2 Baby Birds, Please Help Fast!?

Late this afternoon when my husband came home he pointed out two baby birds on our patio, just sitting there and helpless. There’s a large tree nearby which we believe they must have fallen out of, or were pushed out of, from their nest. I couldn’t bear to leave them there for a rattlesnake to eat them or some other predator. I filled a shoebox with tissues and paper towels (using gloves the entire time so I wouldn’t leave a human scent, in hopes their mama would come back and get them) sat them against each other for warmth and comfort (I’m sure they’re scared) and placed the box on top of our BBQ so hopefully a snake can’t get to them easily. So far they haven’t made a sound but they are still alive. I don’t know what type of birds they are but they are about 6 inches long and still babies. They’ve got to be hungry and very thirsty by now. What can I do to save their lives? Is there anything I can do? Will nature just have to take it’s course? As an animal lover this is killing me! Please give me some useful advice! Please! Is there anyway I can make them drink water? Too early for bird seed? How long can they live without food & water? I don’t know what else I can do for them, I did just place a towel over 3/4 of the box to try to keep them warm through the night. Will their mama come back to get them? If they don’t cry how will she find them? I know, a lot of questions but this is important to me.
Edit: To Wacky, The Wildlife Warden. There was no possible way to put these two poor birds back on a tree branch, this tree is so huge that the limbs are extremely high and well beyond my reach. These 2 poor babies landed very far away from the tree and will NOT make a sound. How is their mama supposed to find them at least 16 feet or more from the tree? Instead they were facing being eaten by snakes, which we happen to have crawling on our porch on a regular basis. I couldn’t bear the thought of that. If they must pass I would prefer it to be under better terms, together, warm, and not being eaten by a rattler!

As for the answer from (I don’t know?) who suggested I break their necks or use a hammer? Come on over and jump off this tree yourself! Then let me do the same to you. Or once your leg is broken I’ll leave you for the rattlers.
Both baby birds are still alive, thankfully! One was able to fly the very next day and the other is still not able to fly but seems to be getting stronger every day. It’s finally flapping its wings and eating insects. I’m not sure if it will ever make it but I hope so, I’ll put it back in the box to be safe for tonight, maybe by tomorrow it will be able to handle being 100% on it’s own. If not, then nature will have to sadly take its course. I’ve fallen in love with these two beautiful babies.

i found a baby bird in my patio, HELP ME SAVE IT!!?

there has been a mother bird in my patio building a nest fir around the past two or three weeks, and two days ago, the eggs hatched. now, this morning, i found the two baby birds on the ground. the mother is gone, and the nest is broken. one of them had blood around it, and it is for sure dead because there were ants on it and everything.but, the other baby bird, is still alive, thank god. but it`s eyes are still closed shut, and it only makes little movements but it cannot walk or fly. i`ve been watching it, and it tries to fly by moving it`s wings, but it has not been successful. what can i do to keep it alive? i have no idea what kind of bird it is, but i`m in san diego, CA if that helps. please, help me, what can i do to save it? what can i feed it, how do i feed it? please, help save a bird?
and please don`t tell me that it`s too late, even if it is. i really want to save it.
here is a picture of the mother that i took a few days ago. can this help find out what kind the bird is?

I have what we think is a fledgeling sparrow on the back patio. Should we attempt ot feed it? How? What?

This is a wild bird, not a pet. The small bird is two toned, with darker top and lighter belly. It has a relatively small beak with a patch of yellowish skin on either side of the beak under its eyes. It seems fully feathered, with a few pin feathers at its throat. It isn’t obviously injured, but it doesn’t appear to be able to fly.
It survived the first night in a box (we found it late last night), but we tried to return it to a nest first thing this morning. It immediately hopped out of the nest, and before long was stranded on the ground again. We’ve since decided that the nest we thought it was out of is probably a different species – it’s an oriel nest – and all the other nests are far too high for us to reach to return him.
I might add that we are in West Texas, and about 50 miles from a pet store that might sell meal worms.

Other than letting nature take its course, is there anything we can do to help the bird survive?

this squirrel is hanging around?

I had sunflowers on my patio. and I gave the seeds this squirrel since the birds weren’t eating them, ( and now I just found out that my boyfriend has been feeding it peanuts) but now he just hangs around on the patio when my boyfriend goes outside the squirrel runs up to him and will get extremly close and run circles around him, is it being friendly, i’m afraid it will bite him? what dieases do squirrels have?

is it safe to let them come up to you?
