I can’t seem to help my chihuahua with his weight problem!?

He just seems to keep getting fatter and fatter. I adopted him straight off of the streets in Taiwan, flew him back to Seattle last August, and have kept him with my Jack Russel and kitty cat. Weird thing is, even when he was roaming the streets malnourished, filthy and desperate, he was by no means thin. And now that we are in America he keeps getting fatter. I feed him Avoderm and other healthy dry foods, monitor serving sizes closely, and never feed him table scraps. He seriously eats like a bird. Plus, he gets so much more exercise now that we are in America with the Jack & cat, too. I don’t know why but he is literally becoming obese (not exaggerating). Any advice would be appreciated.

Why the zebra finch male bird is plucking one chick’s tail feathers?

I don’t know what to do anymore…I have four chicks and the parents take good care of them. The problem is that the male bird plucks the tail feathers of only one of the chicks…I would have tried to separate them but the father is the only one who feeds the chick. This chick is diffrent from the others…he is all white…What should I do? How can I stop the plucking? The chicks are a month old. And the parents are zebra finches the CFW type.
The male is only plucking this chick and only at its tail.

I had to move a nest full of baby Robins. Will the mom find them?

A mother Robin was very smart and built her nest inside our outside grill. It is all enclosed except for a for 3 inch vent hole on the top cover, which is where she entered into her nest. The problem is, My dad is big into cooking steaks out on the grill and so we had to move the nest. I put the nest in a box and cut out an entrance for the mom. It snowed here yesterday (May 8th) which is very uncommon, but I wanted to keep them as warm as possible. Will she be able to find the new nest? It’s on the deck right next to our grill, but I have not seen the Mom come back yet? I read that it is a myth that if you touch a bird nest the mom won’t come back.
Are you people for real?? You are going to come on here and give me a hard time about killing birds? I went on many sites and NONE said moving the nest would end up killing the birds. I was simply asking to see if anyone else had done this.

Bird nest problem… help!?

A mother sparrow began building a nest by a fan end outside. It blows out air every time I use it for cooking in my kitchen. There are no eggs in the nest yet. When I was unaware that there was a nest there, I turned on the fan and the mother got spooked and flew away. Her nest blew away as well. I put a box over where the nest used to be, but then the bird began to build another nest in the box! I love birds and love seeing their nests and babies, but I would want the babies to grow up in a safer location than on my deck near a fan, a window, a grill, andthe hustle and bustle of my family. I haven’t seen the mother, but she worked on her nest in the box when I was not there. If she builds her nest in the box, should I relocate it, or call an animal refuge to come get it? Thanks!

COCKATIEL EGG HELP!! ASAP?

Okay we have a BIG problem
This afternoon we found an egg in my birds cage, [There is a male and a female.] But, we don’t know if its fertile, because we didn’t have a nest box. The birds are in my brothers room so they’re out of my care, but today my brother walked into his room and ran straight to me, saying how there was an egg in the cafe.
It was at the bottom of the cage, yes, but there was no nest box for her to put it in. We put one in there now.
The female won’t take the egg, but she is very young

The egg is small, im keeping it warm, and my mom said she saw what looked like “Blood” when it was held up to the light, but I saw clearness and veins.
How do we tell it’s fertile?

I know I’m not making any sense, but I’m panicking because this is my first egg and we don’t have any avians in our town.
We found out it is fetile, its clear with a yok, and in the yoke is a tiny black/dark dot.
No It doesn’t look like that, it looks like this, but like a shadows beside it

I know I’m not wording it right, but I just don’t know DX
Tomarrow I’m going to call my vet to get me the phone number to the avian 3 towns over

Yes I have seen them mating, but I shurgged it off since she was underage to breed, but that was a while ago, and I guess she did the nasty nasty again

Right now, I’m taking a deep breath and trying to explain it better, because I know I’m making absolutly no sense
I am a clean hand freak, I’ve had many abused animals so I knew that before touching ANY baby, to wash my hands throughly.

I’m only 14, so that’s why I so inexperiences. And My dad said that it was alive, fertile, and all that since he knew about eggs, but we don’t know how long it was in the cage cold. And I’m going to keep it for 6 days, and if it doesn’t look fertile at all or something along that lines, I’ll get rid of it. But I’m going to give it the benifit of the doubt and give it a little bit of a chance, just incase
And I was probably seeing something in the background, and it still had what looked like “Afterbirth.” On it, so that could have been what the “Blood, and veins” were.
I cleaned it up and looked, thats how I saw the yok and the dot, I wouldnt call it black but like, a shadow from what lookede like a yellowish dot. No I’m not cracking it open to look XD

Nesting bird problem PLEASE help. I have no clue.?

My friend has a cannery who has a mate, and started laying eggs, but she kicked them out of the nest, this is before they got a mate for her, so to prevent nesting, when they did get her a mate, they removed the nesting box, but she has laid three eggs in her food dish.
And sitting on them. so they are probably fertilised.. im going to candle them next time i see them.
But how are they to prevent nesting in the future, with out taking away her mate, because she stresses now when they tried to separate them.
Also.. how they going to look after the chicks.
I have raised many birds before, but never seed eaters.
i usualy raise starlings, blackbirds, thrush. etc.
so my knowlege doest go to PET cannery’s. how will they raise them to be pet birds etc etc etc.
please help!
P.S I WILL ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE TO ASK.
By ‘it’, do you mean your incredibly small, slightly bent to the right, penis?
Because if your were, i would gladly get an air gun and shoot ‘it’.
