We found a baby robin in the middle of the road, and we already know how to feed it. I know you aren’t supposde to touch baby birds, but we are wearing gloves most of the time.
We don’t want to release it if it can’t hunt.

I found a baby pidgeon on the road, it had feathers, but it caan barely fly…and there is no nest nearby, and I can find a pidgeon in sight. I put it in a box, with food and water. Does anyone know a place where they will take in a baby bird (in the Chicago Land area, or near it (northern Illinois))?
Thanks…
And I can’t keep it outside because it will be near the road, and it walks to the road a lot. Also because there are a lot of dogs that go on walks around my house.
THANKS!!
We found a baby bird out on the lawn and everytime I threw bread out it’d open it’s beak. I didn’t give it any. There are no trees around, but two adult birds but we can’t tell if they’re the parents because they won’t feed it. It ran across the road so my brother led it over there safely but it tried coming back to our side. W e put it back on the other side and all it does is sit there and chirp chirp chirp. What should I do, the adult birds are gone, i’m afraid it’ll get runover or starve.
I have feeders with seed, fat and peanuts 6ft on a garage wall to avoid cats. Ground feeders ie starlings and blackbirds visit but no one visits the feeders. A blue tit visited and left immediately on looking and has not returned. They are checked daily that they are fresh. My sister has lots visiting her garden up the road. What can I do to encourage them into mine?

I have places 4 feeders with seed, fat, peanuts etc on the garage 6 ft up to avoid predators. One blue tit has visited and left. No more have visited. Ground feeders are in abundance ei starlings and blackbirds. What am I doing wrong. My sister up the road has lots visiting her garden.
I have also placed my boxes north east pointing down to no avail. The boxes are 14 ft away from feeders.
