2 female 1 male cockatiel, 1 nest box?

I had 2 cockatiels then found a 3rd on the street. It was obviously hand fed since it came to me when I found it. After isolation and looking for its owners, we put the new bird in with our 2. Our 2 started mating and we put in a nest box so they could lay a clutch of eggs. We thought the new bird was a male because it liked to hang out with our female, but now we think it’s a female because she wants to go in the nest box, and actually laid an egg in there. Our original 2 had a clutch of 5 eggs and 1 hatched this morning. Now there are still 5 eggs with the baby chick. I think the new bird laid an egg in the nest box. She actually sits in the nest box sometimes (next to the bird that’s sitting on the eggs). So far she hasn’t harmed anything. The male doesn’t seem to like the situation, but the female doesn’t mind another bird being in the nest box.

Should I get another nest box for the new female? I don’t think she mated with the male (at least not that I’ve seen).

Is my baby robin a girl or a boy?

I walked up my street and found a box with an injured bird sitting in a nest in it (dead right now). Beside the box was a perfectly healthy baby robin and I want to know if its a girl or a boy.

How do i take care of this bird that i found in the middle of the street?

i found a bird in the middle of the street today, and it cant fly and moves very little. It doesn’t look like it could’ve fallen from a nest because there were no trees from which it could’ve fallen from in the area. i have no idea what kind of bird it is, or how to help he/she. So far ive put it in a box with a towell and some birdseed, but i am at a loss as to how im supposed to give it water. any advice on what i should do?
Abandoned Fledglings

The procedure differs slightly for a fledgling bird. Fledglings are often mistaken for birds that are injured or unable to fly when, on the contrary, they’re actually learning how to fly. A fledgling will hop out of the nest to perch on surrounding branches, or flutter to the ground, where it will spend several days to several weeks being taught by the parents how to pick up seeds or catch insects. A parent bird will actually guide the fledgling into bushes during the night to hide it from predators. If you find a fledgling in a high-traffic area such as a sidewalk or a street, move it into the cover of some nearby bushes. Otherwise, leave the bird where you found it.

i think this is what im going to do with it, sometime in the morning, becuase it to dark to do it right now
when i foundthe bird it was in the middle of the street
i live in texas, and its pretty hot right now
the bird stopped breathing a few minutes ago and i have a feeling that its the heat that killed it
thank u guys for giving such good advice
i really wish this hadnt eneded this way, but i guess i can be glad that the bird didnt die by way of car

Help! Am I doing enough for this baby bird?

My across the street neighbor stole a baby bird that I am guessing only 2 or 3 days old I have been feeding it bread soaked in water and feeding it thorough a syringe (the reason i have it is because my mom took it from him to try to find the nest which apparently had been ripped up by my across the street neighbor) i am keeping the bird in an old shoe box inside of a metal crate (like one of the file crates with a whole bunch of holes in it) with a heating pad in the bottom for at night and a lamp above it for during the day. I was wondering if there is anything else i should be doing or what else i should know. O yea i have no clue what kind of bird it was

feeding birds on the street?

Im just wonder about feeding the birds on the street.

Is that legal for putting some crumb of the bread on the street for birds?

I can see many people are doing this on the street.
Does the law exist against this behavior?

I found a baby bird???

I was on a bike ride and then I see the poor little guy in the middle of the street. He is now in my house and he seems healthy and in great shape. Who should I contact? What should I feed him until then? Where should he stay? I have no idea where his nest is because he was found in the road.
Thanks!
