baby birds crop has air?

ok this is the first time i have noticed this the baby is almost 4 days old it is a baby zebra finch so its very small

I relized that during feeding the crop was filling with air and it barly had any food in it mostly air of course the lack of food was because i stoped feeding it right away when i noticed it
I do not feed with a suring because it would hurt the baby because it is so tiny im am feeding it with a flat end tooth pick im using the methiod called spooning

could the babys crop inflat because it is swolling air not food?
i barly put any food on the tooth pick so it will have less of a chance of breathing in any liquid

i am feeding th baby what the adult finches eat except i put the food into a coffie grinder to turn it into pouder so i can mix it with water to make it in a formula.

I feed the baby when the crop emtys about every 2 hours i feed it untill its crop is almost full i dont want to take a chane of streatching

is there a way i could relise the ai
hurry i need to feed it!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Cockatiel fertile egg laying process? HELP :)?

My male and female Cockatiels recently conceived an egg 3 days ago and the other yesterday. I am just uncertain of why they are not in the nesting box all the time to incubate their eggs. Whenever i open the cage both of them come out of the nesting box or cage and play with me. But sometimes one goes in to sit on the eggs. will the baby birds die in the egg if their parents are not constantly incubating them?

My 12 year old Lovebird is in dire need of some lifestyle changes; tips?

When I was ten, I bought a pair of lovebirds from the pet store. Beautiful little dears, but naturally they bonded to each other instead of me, and I was too immature at the time for the responsibility anyways.
12 years later, I’m much older and only one bird remains as the male met a terrible fate at the beak of his angry mate (they liked it rough, I guess you could say), and the female is all alone. She’s been relocated to my room, which has nice big windows and she has her own personal alcove with a big cage.

Problem is, she’s a huge seed junkie and has had a nesting box for her whole life. She’s been essentially neglected by the prior caretaker, and I’ve stepped in.
How likely is her health to change if I alter her diet gradually from the dollar store budgie seed she was fed by my mom to quality pellets? How difficult will it be? Will she ever adapt at all, or is she ‘too old for change’ as my mom tries to tell me? Oh, and should I definitely invest in a UV lamp like my niece suggested?

In addition to this, when she sits she’s very puffy, and she often vomits black/white gunk. I’ve no clue what’s up, as I’m the only person who seems to witness this. Also, any tips on teaching her how to play with toys would be great. I’m planning on hand-taming her over the long-term.

I rescued a house sparrow and it died?

I found a bird, must have been young but it had all its feathers and must have fallen from the nest.. I read that mommy birds will kick their young out of the nest sometimes if there is something wrong with them and let it die instead of wasting time feeding them…

Anyway I took it put it in a shoe box on top of sum stockings to keep it wamr and it seemed content.. it wasn’t hard ot catch either and when i pet it, it would close its eyes and seem very calm.. I fed it organic apple blueberry sauce and tried to give it bread but it didnt want the bread… It seemed fine before I went to bed.. It slept all night and when i woke up i woke it up to try to feed it but it wouldnt take the berry mush i had made for it (since the parents regurgitate food usually, which i tried to recreate)

since it wouldnt eat I left it and was going to take it to a rehabilitator or try to see if the mom would come to the place where I found it, but when i got back about 3 hours later it had died.

DO you think it was just sick or did I do something wrong? Im really sad cos I get attached to animals very easily.
It’s legs were broken, it couldn’t even walk, plus it was next to my school’s library and I live on a small campus.

Ok babydoll its time???

to wake up….I will do the laundry, vacumn, iron, dishes, pick up the house, dust, cleaners, feed the dog, cat, bird, do the windows, the lawn, the cars…..but first I will make you breakfast in bed….what would you like????????
