baby birds?

We found a baby bird out on the lawn and everytime I threw bread out it’d open it’s beak. I didn’t give it any. There are no trees around, but two adult birds but we can’t tell if they’re the parents because they won’t feed it. It ran across the road so my brother led it over there safely but it tried coming back to our side. W e put it back on the other side and all it does is sit there and chirp chirp chirp. What should I do, the adult birds are gone, i’m afraid it’ll get runover or starve.

I found a baby sparrow in my parking lot…What kind of treatment should I give to it?

It was wet and cold. There are a bunch of trees out there and it’s very difficult to spot a nest, if there is one, so what I’ve decided so far is to keep it until it is strong enough to be by itself. I’m not a complete ignorant about the animal kingdom, but still I would like to get some more information from personal experiences about sparrows and how to pet them or just keep them alive. I have helped other birds before but not that small. I’m going to try to find the nest, or the mother. How to feed the bird would be a good start. Thanks and please answer this if you really know what you are talking about, if not, go make some points somewhere else.
Hello?!!! found it in a parking lot?!! There is a car parked right now where I found it. Can it fly or whatever…didn’t seem to because it was just there all wet and it didn’t even try to fly away. As far as I know, some birds can’t fly with their feathers wet…and it’s illegal…ok …what are they going to do? give me a fine or put me in jail cause I was trying to help an animal? screw that!!
Fuck that bird!! I killed it!! because I found out that the bird had a cut on its back and when I put some Scilocaine to mitigate the pain, maggots started to crawl out the wound!!! f’ing disgusting!! so I chopped its head off to end its pain!! Now I want to fumigate the whole house!! I’m so grossed out, I don’t even want to sleep in my room!!

Are you a bird lover?

I love to watch the birds in my yard, my favorites are the bluebirds and the orioles. I usually have two suet cakes hanging from a shepards hook for them the feed on. The last couple of days though something has managed to knock the feeders down and eat the entire suet cake, do you think this could be those pesty bluejays or something else. We live on 5 acres with lots of trees around and lots of wildlife. If you think it is the bluejays which are very agreesive then do you have suggestions on how to get rid of them?

my budgie layed an egg and the baby hatched already?

i’m afraid that my new-born budgie will hurt it’s self the day it finnaly is ready to come out the nesting box is like at the top of the cage what should i do or is it ok? and how long untill the baby finnaly decides to come out and whats the best way for the baby to get acquainted with me so it’s not afraid of me also i guess that when parakeets r in their natural habitat in australia w.e i guess they’re nests are high up in trees right so should i be worried about the bird leaving the nest?

How often should a baby bird be feed? Its probably only a few days old?

I found him in the middle of the street..with no trees or birds around so i’m trying to care for him myself. I already have the baby bird feeding formula…but how often?

Getting Rid of Rats?

I just noticed a rat this morning near my house. I have some trees and a stream behind my house so I assume it lives down there somewhere. I have not seen any rat droppings in my house or heard any “scurrying” or “scratching” at night. There is no evidence of rats being in my house but the sight of one near my house for the first time since I have lived there (4 years) is making me kind of nervous. I wonder if there is anything I should do to prevent them from coming in or just leave them to the hawks that will come around the house occasionally, feeding on the birds and mice. I don’t know if I should be worried or not.

How do i take care of this bird that i found in the middle of the street?

i found a bird in the middle of the street today, and it cant fly and moves very little. It doesn’t look like it could’ve fallen from a nest because there were no trees from which it could’ve fallen from in the area. i have no idea what kind of bird it is, or how to help he/she. So far ive put it in a box with a towell and some birdseed, but i am at a loss as to how im supposed to give it water. any advice on what i should do?
Abandoned Fledglings

The procedure differs slightly for a fledgling bird. Fledglings are often mistaken for birds that are injured or unable to fly when, on the contrary, they’re actually learning how to fly. A fledgling will hop out of the nest to perch on surrounding branches, or flutter to the ground, where it will spend several days to several weeks being taught by the parents how to pick up seeds or catch insects. A parent bird will actually guide the fledgling into bushes during the night to hide it from predators. If you find a fledgling in a high-traffic area such as a sidewalk or a street, move it into the cover of some nearby bushes. Otherwise, leave the bird where you found it.
